Clean and Near Fine in a crisp, VG+ dustjacket, with mild creasing along the spine crown and light rubbing and soiling to the rear panel. 12mo, impressive frontispiece illustration by John Coleman Burroughs. Notably, this copy includes the sought-after "fire sticker" at its front pastedown, the publisher's 3" x 2" original sticker stating: "This book is one of the few survivors of a near-disastrous fire that occurred in our storeroom on Saturday, May 3rd, 1958. The fire started as a result of the spontaneous combustion of old Tarzan motion pictures printed on nitrate film". Happily, in spite of the sticker's warning, this copy shows no sign of fire damage whatsoever.
