About this Item

Very good book in good+ dust jacket, now in new removable protective cover. Dust jacket has edge wear at spine, with some minor loss at the top; minor pigment loss at the rear hinge and spine tail; .75 inch closed tear on rear. Jacket is corner clipped. Tweed green boards, with black illustration - jungle scene with Tarzan on elephant. Plain end papers. Illustration on title page (Tarzan on elephant) by Rafael Palacios. No other illustrations. Pages are clean and unmarked. Grosset & Dunlap hard cover with dust jacket; 1950 edition but 1958 printing. 350 pages. Cover art by C. Edmund Monroe Jr. 12mo (5" x 7.5") 5th in Tarzan series, preceded by The Son of Tarzan, and followed by Jungle Tales of Tarzan and many others. Dated thru Robert B. Zeuschner's Edgar Rice Burroughs bibliography.
