VG/G in mylar. The first reprint edition published by Grosset & Dunlap. Red cloth with black lettering. Cover illustration taken from p. 132 of the first edition and bordered in yellow with black lines on the sides. 2 interior illustrations by J. Allen St. John (facing the title page and opposite p. 280). DJ has a chip missing at top of spine and a small chip at heel of spine. Also a 1? closed tear at top front of dj, and some minor chipping at top and bottom of front flap crease. Back of jacket lists 37 ERB titles ending witih Pirates of Venus. Text block is tight and slightly cocked. Zeuschner #629. NO remainder mark, NOT ex-lib.
