Book #11 in the original series of 24 novels penned by Burroughs between 1912 & 1966. Originally published by McClurg in 1928, this is the Second Printing of the first Grosset & Dunlap reprint from 1928, in 377 pages with a spectacular black-&-white glossy frontispiece, 3 internal plates, + a sketched map by J. Allen St. John. Small 8vo has red cloth-covered boards, lettered in black to front & spine. Condition is Fair-Good: binding strong & straight, pages moderately tanned, commensurate with age, completely unmarked save for old store stamp inside front cover. Front free endpaper has been excised & endpapers show heavier toning. Exterior shows scattered & soil & a bleached spot, rubbing to extremities with the cloth splitting along front joint & heavy bumping/fraying to corners & spine tips. No DJ (missing). Our photos depict the Exact book you will receive, never "stock" images of books we don't actually have on hand.
