Book #8 in the original series of 24 novels penned by Burroughs between 1912 & 1966. Originally published by McClurg in 1921, this is a Grosset & Dunlap reprint (no additional dates), in 408 pages with Glossary in rear + 201 pages with a spectacular black-&-white glossy frontispiece, 3 internal plates, + pen-&-ink sketched map by J. Allen St. John. Small 8vo has red cloth-covered boards, lettered in black to front & spine. Condition is Good: binding strong & straight, pages moderately tanned, commensurate with age, completely unmarked save for former owner's name inside front cover & old home library card pocket glued inside rear cover; endpapers show heavier toning. Exterior shows scattered soil & color irregularities, rubbing to extremities & mild corner bumping, with slight fraying & slight loss. No DJ (missing).
