About the Author

After teaching for 38 years in the Brentwood, NY School District, Letty & Sheila Sustrin retired and began their new career as authors by penning The Teacher Who Would Not Retire. Little did they realize that this would be the beginning of a new career as writers of a Children s Picture Book Series. When Sheila passed away in 2015, there were already 5 books in the series. Mrs. Belle, their main character, had become a lovable friend to children worldwide. Letty decided that she would like to write the finale to the series in memory of her sister. It was a challenge as she was going to do it by herself. This book is titled, The Teacher Who Would Not Retire Retires, and as Letty puts it, I felt like my sister was looking over my shoulder every time I sat down at the computer to write. I know she will be happy with the book.
