Cracking and starting around front and rear hinges. Some shakiness throughout text block. Profusely inscribed at front and rear, including with scribbles and doodles. General age-related toning to pages, along with periodic foxing and wear. Please see photographs and ask any questions prior to purchasing. A scarce reference piece with its ownership descending from the Rutherford family. Some inscriptions are likely from Abner Rutherford (1814-1890) of Swatara Township, Dauphin County, Pennsylvania. From the namesake unincorporated village of Rutherford within the township, Abner was mostly devoted to farming and banking throughout his life.
