Dr. Eileen Carr has over 20 years of experience as a university teacher educator, with a specialty in reading comprehension, critical thinking and remediation of reading problems. Dr. Carr is the developer of a number of reading comprehension strategies, including KWL Plus (with Donna Ogle) and the author of books and articles on the use of strategies to promote reading comprehension. She is Professor of Reading at The University of Toledo and the Co-Founder of ThinkingWorks.
Dr. Loviah Aldinger has extensive experience in developing and conducting professional development programs in the areas of inclusion and literacy education. She has been a public school teacher and a university teacher educator. She has co-authored and edited a variety of publications, including decision-making software programs. Dr. Aldinger has directed both federally and privately funded grants that support teachers’ professional development. She is currently Co-Director of ThinkingWorks.
Dr. Patberg has 25 years of experience as a university teacher educator. She specializes in the research and theory of literacy processes and education. Retired from university teaching, she is currently a Reading Specialist at Read for Literacy where she trains tutors to teach adults how to read.
