Barbara Binder Kadden served as Educator of Temple Beth El in Aptos, California and continues to make kippot and tallitot through her business, Patchwork Judaica. She graduated from the University of Arizona and earned an M.A. in both Jewish Education and Jewish Communal Service from Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion. She is co-author of Teaching Torah: A Treasury of Insights and Activities; Teaching Tefilah: Insights and Activities on Prayer; Teaching Mitzvot: Concepts, Values, and Activities; Jewish History-Moments and Methods; and Ethical Wills: Handing Down Our Jewish Heritage. Bruce Kadden is Rabbi of Temple Beth El in Salinas, California. He graduated from Stanford University and was ordained by Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion. He is a monthly columnist on the religion page of the Salinas Californian and former Jewish Chaplain at the Correctional Training Facility in Soledad, California.
