Teaching Labours of Sisyphus! Class Lecture Synopses in Environmental Sciences

Environmental Science is mandated to be taught in all educational Institutions of India by the Government. This book covers over 50% of the entire subject through summaries of class lectures at post-graduate level based on my 30+ year experiences in the universities of Berhapmpur, Madurai, Coimbatore and Pondicherry. Some papers were registered by students from Chemistry, Bio-technology, Geology, International Studies, Economics, Sociology, History and English. The book has 160,000 words in 10 subjects and 194 topics. Teachers can use this book for their class lectures. Students, faced with bad teachers, can prepare themselves. Those working for competitive examinations can use this in many ways. The Bibliography of texts and a sample Syllabus can be used by any Institution. This syllabus was lauded by peers such as Swainathan, Ramakrishnan, Gadgil, Rodgers, Anthakrishnan. The then VC officially appreciated my work, Alas! it was hijacked and degraded at will subsequently. A Unique feature is the role of students in judging the teachers through 20 Value criteria, as well as their course contents. Both these can be emulated by any Department of any University.
