Teaching Primary Maths: Building Teacher Confidence and Student Success

In this practical guide, educator Emma Bird begins with the most important question: Who are you as a mathematics educator? Drawing from her own experiences with maths anxiety, she reveals how our beliefs and past experiences shape our teaching practice - and why examining your own mathematical journey is essential before transforming your students' learning.

Teaching Primary Maths explores what truly matters: creating inclusive, engaging environments where all students thrive. Emma addresses maths anxiety, engagement, creativity, curiosity, and playful learning with research-backed strategies and real-world examples.

Whether you're a new teacher or an experienced educator, this book provides practical tools to nurture mathematical confidence and resilience in every student. Your work matters - this book will help you make that impact last.
