About the Author

Co-authors Ann Flagg and Teri Ory work at Edu-Prize Elementary in Gilbert, Arizona. Ann holds a masters of education .

Ann holds a master's degree in science education and has taught at the elementary level for 14 years. She is currently the K-6 science instructor at Edu-Prize. Her other Scholastic Teaching Resources titles include: Early Themes: Weather, Early Themes: Apples, Pumpkins and Harvest, and Rubrics, Checklists, and Other Assessments for the Science You Teach. Ann lives in Apache Junction, Arizona.

A classroom teacher for many years, Teri Ory holds a doctorate in administration and is currently the principal at Edu-Prize. Teri has been a science enthusiast throughout her career in education and has participated in a variety of "teachers as trainers" programs including NASA¹s NEWEST, GEMS, and the American Institute of Physics¹ Operation Physics and Operation Primary Physical Science. Teri lives in Mesa, Arizona.
