About the Author
David Lee Finkle is a National Board-Certified Teacher who has taught English in middle and high schools throughout Florida since 1990. He is the author of Writing Extraordinary Essays---Every Middle Schooler Can! (Scholastic, 2008). He has also written Making My Escape, a Young Adult novel, and co-authored with his son, Christopher, a spy-fi fantasy thriller called Portents. David's comic strip, "Mr. Fitz" runs five days a week in the Daytona Beach News-Journal.
