Technology Guide for Music Educators

For years, music educators have been asking the Technology Institute for Music Educators (TI:ME) for a resource on software and technology products that would help them accomplish their curricular goals. This resource guide provides a comprehensive and compact package, clearly organized into the following six core technology areas that music educators need to be competent in as they teach music in the 21st century: electronic musical instruments * music production * music notation software * technology-assisted learning * multimedia * productivity tools, classroom and lab management.

The Technology Institute for Music Educators (TI:ME) is a non-profit corporation registered in the State of Pennsylvania whose mission is to assist music educators in applying technology to improve teaching and learning in music. All of the contributing authors and editors of this book are TI:ME board members and regularly lead college and professional development courses on the use of technology in music education as well as in-service workshops and clinics throughout the USA. Most regularly contribute articles for Music Education Technology magazine, as well as music education journals.
