Technology and innovation are often linked with better ways of doing business, societal improvement and economic growth; the region of Latin America has historically imported its business paradigms from other countries, but now is forging its own path.

Technology and Innovation in Latin America gathers scholars from all over Latin America to present their research exploring the dual aspects of technology and innovation and their interrelatedness. Oscar Javier Montiel Méndez is Professor of Management at Universidad Autónoma de Ciudad Juárez (UACJ). He obtained his PhD on Management Sciences at Universidad Nacional Autonoma de Mexico (UNAM).

Lorena del Carmen Álvarez-Castañón is Professor at University of Guanajuato, Leader of Track 5 (Development and Sustainability) in the Academy of Management Sciences (ACACIA), and a Member of National Research System (CONACYT), Mexico.

Javier Jasso is a Full-Time Senior Professor in the Graduate School of Accounting and Management at National University of Mexico (FCA, UNAM). He coordinated the Graduate Program in Management Sciences and was also head of the Investigation Division at FCA, UNAM.
