About the Author
Ed Morawski has been involved with electronics since his teens. After joining the U.S. Air Force in 1966 he was trained as an Aircraft Instrument Technician and spent the next eight years working on every aircraft in the inventory on bases from Langley AFB, VA. to Vietnam and finally at Edwards AFB, CA. After receiving an Honorable Discharge he began working as a technician for American Alarm Company in Cincinnati, OH. He become manager of the central station and worked there for ten years until the company was acquired by Honeywell Alarm. Mr. Morawski moved to Los Angeles in 1983 and became Technical Support Manager for API, the largest security company in California. Over the next 13 years he held various positions such as Applications Manager, Director of Engineering and Sales Support Manager. API was acquired by ADT in 1996 and Mr. Morawski became Regional Installation Manager and later Western Region Manager for the Engineered Systems Division. In 1998 Mr. Morawski helped start UPS Security, which was primarily involved in remote management of security systems for the Irvine Company and 300 other large customers. He helped developed several unique services and systems for customers such as Memorial Care Hospitals and the City Of San Diego. Mr. Morawski also started Hi-Tech-Consulting.com in 2005 to assist small business customers in obtaining electronic security systems utilizing the very latest technology and thinking. He currently runs Edge Security Systems Inc in Southern California.
