Twelve-year-old Ronnie has just made the difficult decision to live for a whole year with his crotchety great-grandfather instead of in a boarding school. Now trapped between the past and the present, Ronnie must overcome great challenges in order to return both the artifact and the bear to their rightful places.

About the Author

Ruth Troughton was born in New Brunswick and grew up on a farm in Carleton County. After graduating from high school, she attended teacher's college in Fredericton and taught with DND schools several years in New Brunswick and in France. She and her husband now live in St. Catharine's, Ontario.
