Tee Time Tales

“You have already helped me achieve a lifetime’s ambition – by reading my very first book! Only the back page, I know, but intrigued enough to find out what it is all about and how did I get my hands on The Claret Jug? Well done on picking me up, now look inside and join me on my humorous journey through the world of golf at its highest level."

"Dustin Johnson was the World Number 1 in 2018 when I bought him breakfast in Carnoustie. I managed to persuade Dustin to pose with me for a photograph after I paid the bill! Just one of the many experiences with world class golfers that I met in 20 years as a volunteer."

"At The Ryder Cup Matches in 2002, I walked 18 holes with Tiger Woods and experienced what it was like to be ‘within the ropes’ at this prestigious event."

"The scoring system at top class golf events has become extremely sophisticated as fans of the game want more information. From the early days of simply recording the number of strokes taken at each hole, fans now want to see exactly what club is used, exactly where the ball is lying for each shot and how far the ball travels – both off and on the green!”
