Revised ed. In 1887 a local woman uncovered a cache of over 300 cuneiform tablets. These tablets recorded select diplomatic correspondence of the Pharaoh and were predominantly written in Akkadian commonly used during the Late Bronze Age of the Ancient Near East. This is a translation of the tablets with some history. CONDITION Blue bds with crisp gilt titles, pp xvi 258 with 4 maps and 2 illus of tablets, catalogue of books published by the Palestine exploration fund to rear. Copy is very bright and crisp with light wear to spine ends and tips. Size: 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾" tall.
