Founded in 1946 in New York City, the Type Directors Club was created in order bring awareness to the role that typographers play in design. The group started the "Ten Talks on Type" lecture series the following year, featuring James Secrest, Arnold Bank, Gene Ettenberg, Charles Felton, Milton Zudeck, O. Alfred Dickman, Joseph Weiler, Frank Powers, and Hal Zamboni. The lecture series was such a success that the club repeated the talks the following year with the same speakers. This rare flyer is from the collection of printer Bernhard J. Kress of the McGraw-Phillips (PhilMac) Printing Company, who was also a Life Member of the Type Directors Club. . Single Sheet. Very Good.
