1905. No edition remarks. 254 pages. No dust jacket. Full bound red leather. Pages are mildly tanned. Notable cracking to gutters and front hinge. Mild thumb-marking present. Pencil to front endpaper. Boards have mild edgewear with corner crushing and notable marking to boards. Notable sunning to spine, which has mild crushing to ends. Book has forward lean. Hardcover. Condition: Good. Cream half quarter vellum and green cloth boards with gilt lettering to front. Top edge gilt. One or two minor marks to boards. Some slight bumping to corners. The vellum spine is a little grubby, the spine label a little chipped. Age discolouration to endpages. Front inner hinge is beginning to crack. B/w frontispiece with tissue protection; tissue is foxed. Some pages are dog eared. 254 pp. Previous owner's mark to fep in pencil. Additional photos are available upon request. Condition: Very Good. 1st Thus. 6 volume set of these classic works, quarter leather spines and cloth boards, in slip cases, the base of the spine on Wildfell Hall is rubbed with some surface loss, there are two small spots on the Jane Eyre at the edges of the spine where the removing from the cases has again caused a little surface wear/scuff spot. The contents are all fine, no inscriptions, smells or page corner wear. The slip cases are all near fine also. The illustrators are different in each work and issued from 1964 to 1970, each volume a first printing. The artists in date of publication order are Charles Keeping, Anthony Colbert, Julian Trevelyan, Walter Hoyle, Anthony Moore, Marion Wilson. *Postage within the UK will be higher than set tariff (but under £12) Overseas will also need to be determined when ordering (Only actual postage charged NOT packing materials or other surcharges) (6 volumes).
