Vintage trade catalog featuring the Tentacular power transmission belt, built by the Alexander Brothers in the late 1920s. Softcover with thin paper wraps. A photograph of a transmission illustrates the front cover. 15 pages. No publication date state, but internal evidence points to 1927 or 1928 at the latest. Black & white illustrations and tables throughout. This copy is ex-library with few of the typical markings, all on the front cover: rubber stamps stating Reference Catalogue Library, and the date Oct 5 1928; Al263 written in ink; and a reference code written in pencil. The spine and gutters are torn at both ends, about 2.5 on the crown and foot. Covers show marks from rubbing and bumping and short closed tears around the edges. Chipped spine. The book is slightly creased down the middle from folding and has a creased bottom right corner. The interior is clean and unmarked, lightly toned with age. The first page has a short closed tear on the bottom edge. Contains a description of the construction of the Tentacular, a Theory of Tentacular Transmission, How to Design a Tentacular Drive, charts titled Horse Power Rating of Tentacular Leather Belt per Inch of Width and Horse Power Rating of Tentacular Balata Belt, and more.…

Regular shipping by USPS Media Mail is $4. MEDIA MAIL SHIPPING DOES NOT INCLUDE TRACKING.
If you'd like tracking, please let us know before you place the order - We're happy to do it but it costs $1 extra because it means we have to print a shipping label for it individually, slowing down the shipping process considerably -- and we want to be able to keep basic shipping costs as low as we can.
