207 pp. with B/W illustrations and 8 fold-out maps on thin paper (some have long, closed tears). Text in French. Ex-library markings on interior only. Brown cloth cover with black leather corners and spine. Cover is worn, with front label bearing the title and author faded and chipped. Back cover has some stains. As pictured, the front free endpaper is missing bottom two inches, and the upper edge of the same page has fine, cursive notes (additional flourishes by a fountain pen on lower corner of title page). Pages are yellowed with a couple of small brown stains at outer edge. Despite the flaws (or perhaps because of them), the book looks like a prop from a Ralph Lauren store. Not to devalue the historical value of its contents, which is considerable. Over-sized volume may require additional shipping.
