The Tested Faith and the Cardboard Christian: A Theological & Devotional Study

Are you tired of a cardboard faith that looks strong on the outside but collapses under pressure?

In this powerful book, Minister Yusun Y. Beck exposes the dangers of “Cardboard Christianity”—faith built on appearances, pedigree, or politics instead of Christ. With clarity and compassion, he unpacks Jesus’ teaching on worry, hypocrisy, and kingdom devotion from the Sermon on the Mount, weaving in Old and New Testament insights, word studies, and real-life application.

Drawing from Scripture, history, and pastoral wisdom, this book reveals how worry divides, fear paralyzes, and shallow religion fails—but faith in Christ unites, strengthens, and endures. From Genesis to Revelation, from Job’s suffering to Paul’s imprisonments, you’ll discover how God’s Word equips believers to stand firm in anxious times and live with authentic devotion.

• Learn why Jesus called worry “little faith” and how trust in God defeats anxiety.
• Discover how Sadducees, Pharisees—and today’s cultural idols—miss Christ when tradition or politics take His place.
• Explore biblical answers to modern issues like abortion, sexuality, and fear of the future, grounded in passages such as 1 Corinthians 6:9 and Luke 1.
• See how biblical heroes like Moses, Elijah, David, and Paul overcame fear and found strength in God.
• Be inspired by stories of martyrs, missionaries, and everyday believers who conquered fear through faith.

This book is not about empty religion—it’s about living faith that lasts.
Whether you are anxious about family, finances, church, or the future, this book will point you to the only One who can carry your burdens and give lasting peace.

If you long for authentic faith that stands firm in today’s storms, this book will equip you to live fully for Christ. Step beyond cardboard Christianity—embrace kingdom devotion today.
