One of our most important considerations is the book's condition. We use the following grading system for our books. VERY FINE. (VF). The very highest grade that can be assigned to any book. A pristine copy with no defects. Has that new book 'creak' when opened. FINE. (F). This grade lacks the crispness and pristine quality of a Very Fine book. Fine allows for only a few noted defects, such as minor shelf wear or price clipping. NEAR FINE. (NF). A sub grade of Fine and is only a very small step down from Fine. All defects will be noted and described. VERY GOOD +. (VG+). A small step up from Very Good and not quite as acceptable as Near Fine. VERY GOOD. (VG). A book that is attractive, whole and has had care. A very acceptable, collectible condition. All defects such as wear and soiling are noted in the description.
