First ed., 1883 (copyright 1882); 314 p., clean and unmarked except for names of former owners on last front end page, and pencilled mathematical equations on preceding blank page with a small ink spot; ads for other books offered by same publisher precede and follow the text. Front gutter cracked but text block firm and volume square; brown boards with black lettering and botanical ornamentation on front and gilt lettering on spine are scuffed and corners bumped. Crown of spine rubbed.
