If you knew you were going to wrestle an alligator in the future, you would do everything in your power to prepare, right? You'd read books on the subject and study the techniques of the most successful alligator wrestlers. And you would most certainly hire an alligator wrestler coach, one who had personally wrestled many a gator.

Alligator wrestling is a most challenging undertaking; trial and error won't cut it in that profession. Well, guess what? Creating a successful life is a far more challenging undertaking. Most folks don't study it in depth, and as a result, they rely on the unpredictable effect of trial and error. At best, taking this path may occasionally lead to pretty good success.
