Black blind stamped skiver leather boards with red stamped lettering on spine. Boards have some edge rubbing. Spine has some chipping and top portion of it has tape on it. Previous owner's name stamped on front paste down endpaper. Pages are lightly age toned. Page 417 has a tear beginning at edge and going into text (still fully legible, however). Bottom edge of final pages has a dark moisture stain (the stain seems to be perhaps from the rear board's dye, text unaffected). Tightly bound copy with clean interior having no markings, writing, underlining, or highlighting in margins or text block. Scarce German Baptist Brethren title by Peter Nead. Peter Nead (1796-1877) was one of the most important Preachers of the German Baptist Brethren (Dunkers) in the 19th Century. Inv. # 5503. Seller Inventory # 005503
