He is also considered to be a founder of American landscape architecture. In the original full cloth binding. Externally, smart with light rubbing and bumping to the extremities. Light fading to the spine with the odd small mark to the cloth. Minor splits in the cloth at the head and tail of the spine. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright with age toning to the extremities and scattered spotting throughout. Previous owner"s bookplate to the front pastedown. Good.
