The Theory & Practice of Apparent Logic

Apparent Logic pays homage to Stephen Potter's clever book "Gamesmanship." Potter put the word gamesmanship into our lexicon, defining it as "The art of winning games without actually cheating." Potter reveals a whole world of gambits and ploys that exist between fair play and cheating in a playfully serious tone.

Apparent Logic, or the art of making compelling arguments without the necessary ingredients, weaves a similar, harmless path between truth and lies for those who enjoy the arena of humorous conversation. We may not have all the answers, but we champion those who join the fray anyway. After all, the truth, or the correct answer, has been trotted out so many times that even those words are tired. Apparent Logic looks at the truth, or correct answer and asks, "Can't we do better?"
