Synopsis

About the Author
Robert Hilton, Ph.D., is widely know as a "therapist's therapist." He has been in private practice in Orange County, California for 28 years and has taught courses at the University of California-Irvine and San Diego, and the United States International University in La Jolla. In 1972 he co-founded the Southern California Institute for Bioenergetic Analysis where he continues to be a senior trainer. He is also a member of the faculty of the International Institute for Bioenergetic Analysis, and in this capacity lectures throughout the United States and Europe. His relevant publications include "Touching in Psychotherapy,"and"Countertransference: an Energetic Perspective." Virginia Wink Hilton, Ph.D., has been a practicing psychotherapist for 20years. In addition, she has taught and trained psychotherapists in the United States and numerous European countries. Her particular interests have been in sexual issues in the therapeutic process, professional ethics, and the relationship between sociocultural issues and personal process. Dr. Hilton has been the Director of Training for the Southern California Institute for Bioenergetic Analysis. She is also the Executive Director-Elect of the International Institute for Bioenergetic Analysis. Her publications include "Working with Sexual Transference," "Sexual Countertransference," "On Being Fully Alive: The Masculine and Feminine Principle," "When We Are Accused," and "The Devil in America."
