Stippled brown cloth with double impressed margins to covers and gilt sp. lettering, clean and almost unworn but slight cloth tear to bottom back joint. (2, notices of two other works by Timbs in lieu of a blank end-paper() + blank fly + engr. f/piece +m ill. t.p. + viii (inc. all prelims) + 248; impressed round ex-lib stamp of Derek Gair Gibson above pencil date (Gibson being an eminent pioneering cardiologist, 1935-1921); verso rear end-paper has odd red inscrip. 'Oaks won by second favorite April - change Queen & Prince Charles' whatever that means, and top rear pastedown has red name 'Barry Alaska' in same hand, no idea who he was and inscriptions certainly not by Gibson, rear gutter open exposing netting. Internally otherwise clean, tight and unmarked. No Bookfinder matches at time of listing, so assume scarce. 11.5 cm x 17 cm.
