About the Author
Wayne Olson is a frequent writer and speaker on fundraising, nonprofit marketing, and corporate and donor relations. His articles appear in Planned Giving Today and he is a regular contributor to Crescendo Interactive and GiftLegacy. He is president of the Virginia Gift Planning Council and teaches fundraising and donor relations at the University of Richmond. Wayne has spoken to International AFP Conferences in Atlanta, Dallas and New Orleans, and to the Practical Planned Giving Conferences in Orlando, Chicago and San Diego. Prior to his work as a fundraiser for the American Cancer Society and the University of Richmond, Wayne was a litigation attorney, specializing in corporate and contract law. Before law school Wayne was a journalist producing and anchoring television and radio news broadcasts.
