Third Hour (Northwest Counter-Terrorism Taskforce)

NSA analyst Talia Matrice takes a straightforward assignment at a Seattle bank—just a routine security assessment. Nothing she can’t handle in three-inch heels and a custom-built tablet. She can breach any firewall, but she can’t outrun her past.
Then two million dollars is transferred straight into her account.

Secret Service Agent Mason Anderson is on-site to oversee the test—and now he’s overseeing a federal crime scene. The evidence points to Talia. The transfer originated from inside the bank’s network. Her name is embedded in the code, and he knows she’s not telling him everything.

Because this isn’t random. The hacker who once kidnapped her and nearly sold her life to the highest bidder is back—and this time he isn’t just tormenting her. He’s dismantling her credibility, targeting federal agencies, and escalating toward something far more dangerous.

When an armed robbery erupts inside the bank and the Secret Service office itself comes under attack, Mason must decide whether to treat Talia as a suspect… or trust her as the only person who can stop what’s coming.

But trust doesn’t come easy—
not after betrayal,
not after trauma,
and not when the enemy is always three steps ahead.

In the third hour—when fear peaks and faith is tested—they’ll have to choose what they believe about each other. Before everything collapses.
