The Thirty First to Thirty Sixth Annual Report of the Anglo-Jewish Association. Very interesting account of the influx of Jewish people into Britain in the late 19th century. Details how people used their skills in labour, tailoring and dress making in order to make money. Though a lot of skilled labour was used in the textile industry this was no exclusive. Education is also mentioned, numbers and charts from attendances and classes. Contained are some exceptionally good photographs from Evelina de Rothschild's school in Jerusalem. Evelina de Rothschild was the daughter of the first Jewish person to ever sit in the British House of Commons - Baron Lionel de Rothschild The book is half-leather bound with marbled boards.
