Add to basketEmily Pogue is a very attractive eighteen-year-old woman living on an eastern Iowa farm. She just graduated from high school and is finishing her Summer with her last high school softball season. Between games, she is a lifeguard at the local swimming pool and works on her remaining 4-H projects. In an unusual encounter at their creek, floodgate, she meets Dan Jones. Although she knew him, she didn't suspect he'd become part of her life.
Emily doesn't realize that her beauty has attracted the sinister side of the world. Emily's adversary, Karl Schmidt, is from a nearby eastern Iowa town. He becomes involved with an organization that seeks young women to sell as sex slaves.
Emily Pogue becomes Karl's quest. He has her kidnapped and detained. Once accepted by Karl's boss, Emily is evaluated, photographed, and prepared for her new life. She spends thirty-two days in captivity. Those days are filled with humiliation and torture. Finally, she and nine other women are to be flown out of the country. Does Emily escape her captors? Is Karl's organization successful in shipping its bounty out of the country? What is the rest of the story?
