Thought Gatherings

"Thought Gatherings" is a collection of poems and writings to clarify moments for myself. Coerced to write my first poem started a 57 year private means of gathering thoughts and feelings to gain awareness of the present, tossed into a box for future reference. Now semi-retired, they open like little time capsules, most not having been looked at from the time they were written. Early on I was told these thoughts were for more than me, that they belonged to the world. My effort is to capture an experience or thought, the known, and then expose the greater context. This selection of 250 poems in chronological order covers topics in science, nature, emotions; touching existential awareness. Though themes appear repeated, each is expressed with different insight and perception of the moment, all in very real states of being; depression, hope, loneliness, sharing, confusion, clarity, searching, contentment, sorrows and joy. God remains with us every moment. He gives us the freedom to choose our response to be negative or positive in every situation. Life is of a continuum of growth for His glory, very personal. I hope that you enjoy them. They come as gift for searching in these times.
