Binding is tight, sturdy, and square; leather is worn at edges and hinges, leather backstrip partially torn along rear hinge; cloth on front board is faded and mottled, likely a result of a comprehensive silver fish attack; moderate amount of silver-fishing to rear board as well; gilt titling on spine remains bright and bold; plates and text very good throughout.
