The Thoughts That You Think (Little Guiding Light Books Sel)

Every thought you think begins in one place, your very own mind. And that means you get to be the captain.

In this rhyming picture book from The Little Guiding Light Books, Angelo and DD discover that thoughts can lift us up or pull us down, and that we have the power to steer them. When worries whisper “you’re not good enough” or “just quit,” they learn to take the wheel, push the negative thoughts far away, and fill their minds with thoughts that are kind, true, and brave. Along the way, they learn to notice when a friend’s ship is sinking, too - and to offer a little grace.

With warm, imaginative illustrations and a gentle, empowering rhyme, The Thoughts That You Think gives children ages 4-8 real tools for managing big feelings, quieting negative self-talk, and growing a healthy, hopeful inner voice. A social-emotional learning (SEL) story about mental wellness, positive self-talk, self-esteem, and empathy - perfect for home, classrooms, counselors, and bedtime read-alouds.
