Three monks live together at a temple, but they can't agree on anything. They decide to leave the temple to see if it stops their fighting. But at each turn they continue to argue and compete. For example, they can't agree on who should walk across a bridge first, so they walk side-by-side, tumbling into the water. And they can't agree on what to eat and when-causing intense hunger.
After days of this arguing and traveling, they are directed to a temple on a hill to find food. To their surprise, they are home and realize they truly have everything they ever wanted or needed there.
