The Three Musketeers (The Windermere Series)

Part of the lovely Windermere series of classic works of literature designed for young readers, each illustrated by a noted artist, here, Milo Winter, who did the front pastedown, endpapers, frontispiece, + 7 internal full-color, full-page plates (1 of which is 90% missing). First, thus from 1921, translated from the original French by P.S. Allen. Hardcover has blue cloth-covered boards with gilt lettering to front & spine (heavily faded), in 547 pages. Condition is Good: quite clean overall, with random smudges & light soil; binding is strong & square, both hinges intact, but cracked at adjacent gutters, front & back. Pages show moderate tanning, heavier to edges, but completely unmarked. Front pastedown has some nicks & scrapes.
