This collection is comprised of 'Moon of Israel' (1921), the cheap edition, first published in 1918; 'Queen Sheba's Ring' (1926), the first issue of this edition; 'Jess' (1930), a reprint, first published in 1887. As with many of Haggard's other novels, these works are set in Africa, bringing the intrigue and excitement of this distant country into the lives of his readers.Contemporary ink inscription to the front endpaper of 'Jess', dated 1932. In the publisher's original cloth binding, with the original, unclipped dust wrappers. Externally, very smart, with light shelf wear and a little fading to the spine. Ink inscription to the front endpaper of 'Jess' and the front paste down of 'Moon of Israel'. Dust wrappers are very good, with light edge wear and rubbing to the extremities. Light sunning to the spines of the wraps, with the odd mark. Tape reinforcing the rear of 'Moon of Israel' and 'Queen Sheba's Ring', with tape adhered to 'Moon of Israel''s wrap joining the wrap to its plastic covering. The odd chip to 'Queen Sheba's Ring'. Front hinge slightly strained to 'Moon of Israel', with the rear hinge of 'Jess' tenderly held. Internally, firmly bound. Pages clean, although a little age toned. One or two spots to the fore edge of 'Moon of Israel'. Very Good Indeed.
