Item description from seller
See photos for condition details: hardcover, volume 1 ONLY with the original binding of beveled blue cloth boards ornately decorated on front and spine. The book itself is complete and in one piece, but grades as borderline poor condition because of numerous issues. The exterior boards are cracking at the rear board and spine area, which also has cracks and chipping present at the top and bottom. Edges and corners also show bumps/wear the internal binding is good at both boards but there is pulling and spots and some of the pages after the preface show spotting and edge chipping, which also appears to have page XIII was likely detached and repaired at some time in the past. The binding after the preface section all appears to be in very good condition. NOTE: This is volume one only and this is also an ex-library copy, with numerous stamps and markings showing it was part of the Washington and Jefferson College Library of Washington PA. There are also additional library markings on various pages and spine. The library also inserted two additional blank end pages in the front and rear which are held in with library tape. There is also foxing spots scattered throughout. The remaining binding is strong, making this a very good copy for reading or reference purposes.
