Presumed reprint - copyright shows 1850 with 1860 on title page. Corners bumped; edges lightly worn; small chips top and bottom of spine; minor foxing on frontis; ex-library with only library designation is large printed bookplate on front pastedown and embossed stamp on title page - no library marks outside. Brown cloth binding with gilt title on spine. 456pp. Remarkable condition for 160-year old book. Lots of interesting content concerning California mid-19th century.
