Thriving, Not Just Surviving

The Collective Words of Wisdom Sermon Series is an interactive and engaging series of books that are meant to draw the reader, teacher, and/or preacher into a discussion. In Thriving, Not Just Surviving, you will discover ways that you can live as a Christian in the world while Thriving, Not Just Surviving.

Without a doubt, most Christians have experienced some real difficulties in the world as of late. However, believers should not allow worldly distractions to divert them away from making disciples as Christ commanded. Christians must remain focused not only on who they are, but on the wonderful promises they have in Christ. This book will help remind you of that and encourage you to live out your Christian journey in the world without being affected by the culture of the world. We are sojourners and exiles in the world, but we are meant to thrive.

This book consists of seven sermons: Make an Impact, Convictions, Who You Are, Prophecy, The Great Tribulation, The Right Mentality, and Live as an Outsider. These sermons are designed to be a launching pad for you to learn from, create ideas, modify, and use as a basis to create your own sermons and ideas. All the books in this series contain many reflective questions and function partly as journals, making each sermon adaptive to your targeted audience.

The purpose of the Collective Words of Wisdom Sermon Series is to encourage believers to become more intentional Christians, more engaged in the word of God, and more aware of the ways in which Jesus works in our lives as well as the ways in which we can honor Him in how we live our lives. By doing this, we can grow in faith as well as discover, understand, and eventually enact our God-given purpose as Christians, which is to bring glory to God in all we do.
