About the Author

Colorado’s San Luis Valley holds a special place in Ruby Depuy’s heart. In the shadow of the Sangre de Cristo Mountains, she and her husband raised their two children on a cattle ranch. Ruby taught fourth grade in a small rural elementary school. It was a juggling act—cows, calves, and hay on the one hand; lesson plans, papers to grade, and frigid morning playground duties on the other—but she wouldn’t trade those years for anything. Now retired, Ruby has time to pursue her passion for writing, crafting stories of hope and faith set in this beautiful high mountain valley. Thundersnow is a sequel to her first novel, Thunderbird.
