About the Author

His work has been published in various magazines and newspapers, as well as online publications. A two-time nominee for the Green Earth Book Award for his books Little Otter Learns to Swim, and Living Green: A Turtle's Quest for a Cleaner Planet, Artie is a member of The Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators and a graduate of Ohio University.
