Second edition; 8vo, pp. [194]; 4 full-page illustrations outside the pagination; text toned, a few marks of readership, original gray wrappers printed in blue; wrappers slightly chipped and worn, but on the whole, good and sound. Part II appears never to have been published. Ownership inscription "Hildebrand" on both covers, almost certainly either Beatrice and/or Thelma Hildebrand. Beatrice and Thelma Hildebrand, twin sisters, born February 10, 1904, were Assemblies of God appointed missionaries to Southwest China in 1936. They first ministered in Kunming, then moved to Luling, where they established a church. Because of the outbreak of war, they were evacuated in 1950 and returned stateside. Beatrice died in 1982 and Thelma in 1988. OCLC locates a 1933 edition published in Shanghai by World Book Co. Ltd., held by the National Library of China in Beijing. OCLC also loacates a fourth edition of this Religious Tract Society edition, held by San Jose State, New York Public, and the Old Colony Library Network in New York.
