The Ticking Ones

Calling from the Past: The Ticking Ones

Some houses don't just keep secrets.

They keep time.

Elise Jacobs believed she had escaped the past. The house was behind her. The memories were buried. The voices had finally gone quiet.

She was wrong.

When Elise returns to the crumbling estate she once fled, she finds a place that no longer obeys the rules of time-or reality. Clocks stop at the same impossible hour. Mirrors hesitate before reflecting her. And the walls whisper truths she doesn't remember living.

Beneath the floorboards lies something far worse than a haunting: a looping mechanism built from memory, sacrifice, and fractured identity. Each cycle feeds on Elise's past selves-versions of her that made choices she no longer remembers, versions that don't want the loop to end.

As the house tightens its grip, Elise begins to lose her sense of what is real and what has been rewritten. People who once knew her start to forget her. Others see someone wearing her face... behaving wrong. And somewhere between the ticking clocks and shifting rooms, a child's voice reaches out, begging Elise to remember the truth that started it all.

The Ticking Ones aren't ghosts.

They are echoes.

They are selves left behind.

They are the cost of surviving the past.

To break the cycle, Elise must confront the darkest version of herself and the house that was built to keep her trapped. But some truths don't set you free.

They erase you.

Calling from the Past: The Ticking Ones is a chilling psychological horror filled with time loops, identity fractures, and a sentient house that remembers everything. Perfect for readers who love gothic horror, surreal thrillers, and stories where the past refuses to stay buried.

Step inside.

Don't trust the mirrors.

And whatever you do... don't believe the clock.
