There are 61 temperance songs with titles such as The Tidal Wave, On to the Conquest!, Vote It Out, O Rouse Ye, Christian Woman, For God and the Right, Intemperance Like a Raging Flood. Black cloth spine, orange paper over boards, 5½" x 8 3/8", 64 pages (the title page & Preface are included), published by Biglow & Main, New York; and National Temperance Society & Publication House, New York; Index to titles and first lines, back cover has a price list of other song books of a religious nature. Boards quite soiled and chipped along all edges; a little foxing on endpapers, front & rear; previous owner's name on front free endpaper, rear free endpaper has a list of six names written in pencil with $1 written next to each, rear paste-down has several names of songs with the page numbers, a few pages have a crease at a corner.
